Our Cattle

Church Lane Farm is home to two cattle herds: Bleaklow Pedigree Charolais, where we breed prize-winning pedigree stock bulls, and our commercial suckler herd, producing quality store calves.

Commercial Herd

Alongside our pedigree Charolais herd, we run a commercial herd of suckler cows crossed with Charolais bulls to produce quality store calves.

The cattle are reared here at Church Lane Farm, grazing the pastures around Great Longstone in the Peak District. The herd is managed with the same focus on good stockmanship, animal health and quality that has shaped the Cox family's approach to farming for generations.

Our cattle are regularly sold through Bakewell Market, maintaining the farm's long-standing connection with the local agricultural community.
